Christmas Hope
Dec 27, 2020 • Matthew 2 & Romans 15:12-13
All of us want to be loved, and we want to be close to those we love. We long for joy and we want to be happy. We long for peace, for some relief from our problems. And with New Year’s tied to Christmas, we hope that next year will be better than last year.
Love, joy, peace, hope. We’ll never find those things wrapped in a box. But we know where to find them. That’s why we go back to the Christmas story, because it tells us that we are loved. It tells us that there is joy and peace and hope in Jesus. We believe that Jesus can satisfy our deepest longings. My prayer this Christmas and this new year is that each of you will experience the love, joy, peace, and hope that comes through Jesus Christ.
