EASTER - The Cornerstone

Two months after the resurrection, Peter was arrested and interrogated by a religious court for preaching about the resurrection in the streets of Jerusalem. Before this court, Peter declared, “Let me state clearly to all of you … that Jesus Christ, the man whom you crucified, God raised from the dead! For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’ There is salvation in no one else!” (Acts 4:10-12). Because of His supernatural and victorious resurrection, Jesus is that cornerstone. The resurrection proves that Jesus is the Son of God and that everything He said is true. The resurrection proves that He is the true cornerstone of our faith and the only reliable foundation upon which to build our lives.
