My Distress, His Refuge

We say it all the time. When someone asks, “How are you doing?” we say, “Fine.” It’s a polite, easy response in passing conversation. But sometimes, we’re not fine. So the question we should ask each other is “How are you really doing?” That’s a completely different question, a deeper question. From time to time, all of us face various forms and levels of sadness and distress. So did David. Psalm 25 is a page from David’s personal prayer journal. This psalm reveals his great distress and his great hope. As we read it, it may express what you’re feeling. If so, listen to how David pours out his heart to God and be encouraged that you can pour out your heart to God as well.
