My Grief, His Comfort

Grief. All of us have experienced it and will probably experience it again. Grief comes in many forms. It could be the death of a marriage or the death of a loved one. Grief is the pain of loss. And it is the most painful, and the most intense human emotion. Yet, as Christians, “we do not grieve like those who have no hope” (1 Thessalonians 4:13). Yes, we grieve, but we also believe God is good and we believe God cares. He cares so much that He made this promise. “The righteous cry, and the Lord hears … The Lord is near to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:17, 18). He promises, He will hear and He will be near.
