TITUS - Passing It On

Titus 2 is about generational discipleship and passing the baton of faith to the next generation. What Paul told Titus is similar to what he told Timothy. “What you have heard from me … entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2). Psalm 78 talks about passing the baton within our families. “Tell to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, about His strength and the wondrous works He has done … That the generation to come might know … That they should put their confidence in God” (Psalm 78:4, 6, 7). The ultimate goal of family, and the ultimate goal of discipleship, is to pass the baton of faith to the next generation.
