Why Church? - Why Baptism and Why Communion?

Two things the early church did to celebrate their new-found faith was baptism and communion. Baptism and communion are not merely religious rituals. Both are responses to what Jesus has done for us and are expressions of joy and love and gratitude. Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and communion is our corporate commitment to follow Him as Lord. Again, both are expressions of love and joy and gratitude in response to what Jesus has done for us.
