Beyond Bethlehem ... behold & believe

What really happened at Bethlehem was more than the birth of baby. What really happened was the arrival of Jesus, the Son of God. In his NT book, the Apostle John does not mention Bethlehem or describe the nativity in any way. His description of Jesus is theological. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory … to all who received Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:14 12). John invites us to behold His glory and believe His name! Unless we do, this will be just another Christmas, just another holiday. I hope this Christmas.
