From Crown of Thorns to Crown of Glory
Apr 17, 2022
They saw the resurrected Jesus! And the women ran from the tomb, "for trembling and astonishment gripped them.” They were gripped with “trembling and astonishment.” Trembling at seeing a dead man come back to life. And astonished, amazed, and overjoyed to see their friend come back to life. It was gripping. And that’s how it should be for us. And here’s why. Because of the crown of thorns and the crown of glory. Jesus wore the crown of thorns when He sacrificed His life on the cross for us. But then He rose from the dead proving to be the Son of God and proving to be the King of Kings. And one day, Jesus will wear the crown of glory when He returns for us.
