Permission to Ask

Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened." Jesus gives us permission to ask for anything we need. He also taught the disciples, and teaches us, to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread.” Three truths come from that phrase. (1) We are totally dependent on God for everything we need. (2) We can ask God for anything we need. (3) We can trust God to provide all we need.
