ACTS - Stephen ... the first martyr

Stephen was the first martyr of the early church. But what does his story have to do with us? We worship in freedom and comfort. But that’s not the experience for many people in the world. Persecution is real. It’s happening, and there are Stephens all over the world. But the issue for us is not if we are willing to die for Jesus, but if we are willing to live for Jesus. But what does that mean? What does it mean to live for Him? Three words. Stephen was convinced that Jesus was the Son of God, he was compelled to talk about it, and he was courageous to take a stand … and he died for it. May these three words describe us as well. Convinced. Compelled. Courageous.
