Yellow with Fear

May 8, 2022

So what are we afraid of? We fear getting hurt, either emotionally or physically. We fear our children getting hurt. We fear the future for our children and grandchildren. We fear losing a job or not having enough money now or for retirement. We fear getting sick and suffering. We especially fear seeing a loved one suffer, and we certainly fear losing a loved one. The list goes on. We’re human and fear is real.

Fear was real for David, the great warrior-king. So if you’re afraid, you’re in good company. In Psalm 56, David admitted his fear and cried out to God for help. So, what is your greatest fear? And what can you do about it? David said, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You” (Psalm 56:3).
