JESUS - His Teaching

Great speeches captivate the mind and ignite the heart, especially during desperate times. That was certainly true of the words of Jesus. On a hill near the Sea of Galilee, Jesus preached His first sermon. When He finished, “The crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority” (Matthew 7:28-29). The Sermon on the Mount contains 2,416 words and can be read in 15 minutes. It is not a religious speech. It is a life to be lived. It defines what following Jesus is supposed to look like, and promises ultimate blessing to those who follow Him, who love Him, and who obey Him.
