Lead Us Not Into Temptation

The Lord’s Prayer is a prayer for spiritual protection. “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” It is a prayer for God’s help. To stay on the right path. To stay out of trouble. To resist temptation. To avoid sin that can ruin us and ruin our relationship with God. That’s why Jesus teaches us to pray, “Our Father, who art in heaven … Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
