Forgive Us Our Sins

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus includes a line about confession. “Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.” We cannot approach God without confessing our sins. That means we’ve got to be honest with God when we pray. No lies. No secrets. No pretending. Prayer is coming into the presence of God and allowing Him to shine His holy light on our hearts revealing the truth about us, exposing the sin within us, and hearing a confession from us. And when He does, we can appeal to His amazing grace. And when we do, He forgives, He cleanses, and He restores our relationship with Him.
