Beholding His Majesty

Psalm 8 teaches us that walking with God means beholding His majesty. Walking with God starts with understanding who God is and who we are in comparison and in relationship to Him. Psalm 8 is a song about the majesty of God. It is also a song about intimacy with God. The two go together. We err when we over-personalize God, thinking of Him as a buddy. We also err when we de-personalize God, forgetting that He is our Father. The marvelous truth is that the majestic Creator of the universe invites us to walk with Him. According to Psalm 8, walking with God means beholding His majesty and experiencing a personal, intimate, daily relationship with Him.
