Enjoying Him & Fearing Him at the Same Time

When we think about walking with God, here’s a question to consider. Is it possible to enjoy God and fear God at the same time? Sounds contradictory, doesn’t it? But think about it. We enjoy and fear things all the time. We enjoy the sun for a day at the beach, but we also respect the sun by wearing sunscreen. We enjoy sitting by a warm fire in the fireplace, but we also respect the fire by putting it out before we go to bed at night. We enjoy and respect things all the time. The same is true of God. He invites us to enjoy Him, but He also insists that we fear and respect Him. According to Psalm 95, walking with God means enjoying Him and fearing Him at the same time.
