#10-Discipleship-Character

The potter carefully shapes the clay. His touch is gentle, yet his knife is sharp. Just as the potter shapes the clay, so the Lord shapes us. The prophet Isaiah said, “O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We are the work of your hand” (Isaiah 64:8). The Bible says that God “has predestined us to become conformed to the image of His Son.” Like a potter, God is constantly shaping us to be more like Jesus so we can live for Jesus.

Character is a big deal because it reveals who you really are. Character develops over time, because character is the sum of choices you make day after day that determines who you really are.
