Words to Live By - Jeremiah

At some point in life, all of us have said, “Oh Lord, why?” This message is about a man who asked that question. As faith and hope drained from this life, the prophet Jeremiah wrote the Old Testament book of Lamentations. As often happens to us, Jeremiah experienced the tragic collision between faith and feelings, and he was brutally honest with God about how he felt. Yet somehow, he was able to say, “I still have hope, because the Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:21-23).
