Words to Live By - Peter

Following the resurrection of Jesus, Peter boldly preached on the streets of Jerusalem. He faced opposition from the religious establishment for doing so. He was threatened with arrest and torture. Yet, Peter said, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to obey you rather than God, you be the judge; for we cannot stop speaking what we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:19-20). Think of the courage it took to say that. Think of the conviction it took to say that. That phrase summed up Peter’s life. Oh, that that would be true of us. That we would join Peter and passionately say, “We cannot stop speaking what we have seen and heard.”
