PROVERBS - Words - How could you say that?

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue,” said King Solomon (Proverbs 18:21). James agreed. “From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing … and this should not be” (James 3:10). Words can inspire or insult, build up or tear down, celebrate or criticize. We can use words to blame, accuse, and attack or to comfort, love, and bless. Words have power and words reveal what’s on the inside. Jesus said, “For the mouth speaks from that which fills the heart” (Matthew 12:34). What you say is always a reflection of your heart.
