The Thrill and the Threat

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us” (Ephesians 1:7-8). That is the Gospel. That is the thrilling hope we have due to God’s amazing grace. However, the thrill of the Gospel is under threat. Not just by a few fringe voices or churches, the Gospel is increasingly under attack by influences creeping into the evangelical church. We need to know the Gospel, appreciate the Gospel, and preserve the Gospel, so that we can preach the Gospel to the world. It matters because people across the street and around the world need to hear the truth. By exposing a false gospel, we lift the true Gospel that people so desperately need to hear.
