One Faith, One Family

In Ephesians chapters 1-2, Paul wrote a lot about grace and about reconciliation with God. In chapters 2-4, he wrote even more about reconciliation with each other. Paul urged the church to be one. He confronted both prejudice and pettiness. He confronted all that divides us and keeps us from living as the body of Christ. Together, Ephesians 2:11f and 4:3-6 is a call to oneness. “Make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit.” The Lord welcomes anyone to His table who believes in His Son Jesus, and we should welcome them too. And the church of amazing grace should be a church of amazing unity.
