Persevere - Honor Him

Honor. We honor deserving people all the time. We honor family and friends on their birthdays. We honor our spouses on our anniversaries. We honor students at graduation. We honor the loves ones we have lost at funerals. We honor athletes with gold medals. We honor entertainers with applause. We honor valiant soldiers with medals. We give honor on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and we give honor on Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day. We honor deserving people all the time.

We honor what we respect. We honor what we value. We honor and esteem what means much to us. And the greatest honor of all, the ultimate honor and applause and praise and adoration goes to our God.

If you want to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ, if you want to persevere in your faith, your desire to honor Him must be greater than every other desire in life.
