THEOLOGY - SPIRITUAL WARFARE - Yes, It's Real

In Ephesians 6, Paul pulls back the curtain to reveal an unseen reality, to reveal an invisible war in the heavenly places over the soul of every human being. In a dramatic ending to his letter, Paul writes, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:10-12). Satan is real and schemes to distract us, discourage us, deceive us, divide us, and destroy us. But as scientifically and technologically advanced people, are we fools to believe this? Not according to the word of God. The Bible tells us it is true and so does life experience. We have an enemy, an enemy that is trying to distract, discourage, deceive, divide, and destroy us. And we would be naïve to ignore this reality.
