That's Not Fair

You can win the fight or win the person, but not both. That’s why Peter challenges us to stand firm by living a blameless and submissive life. Peter said, “Keep your behavior excellent … Do not repay evil for evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called” (1 Peter 2:12, 3:9). As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to apply this principle to every relationship and every circumstance. Whether you have a horrible boss or teacher … a horrible president or governor … a horrible spouse or parents … the most powerful way to respond to unfairness, injustice, and even persecution, is a blameless and submissive life. For the Lord’s sake, to honor Him, and for the world’s sake, to bring them to Christ, live a blameless and submissive life, refusing to fight, argue, or seek revenge.
