I'm Not Going to Do That

Increasingly, we live in a culture without guardrails, and eventually, without moral guardrails, there will be a moral crash. That’s what we’re seeing in our culture today, the confusion and damage of life without God. Now, most of us are good people, moral people. But are we godly people? Do our thoughts and attitudes, do our actions and reactions reflect that Christ lives in us? The Bible says, “Whoever says he abides in him” – whoever claims to be a Christian – “ought to walk in the same way in which he walked” (1 John 2:6, ESV). If you say you believe in Jesus, then your life should show it. In 1 Peter 1:13-22, Peter calls us to stand firm in our character. In today’s world, that will be counter-cultural.
