Gospel Victory

The messages from 1 Peter have been heavy, talking about standing firm when the prevailing secular opinion has disdain for Christianity. But there is reason to hope. We may be in the minority, but Jesus Christ is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the hope of the world. He is our hope, and in Him we trust and in Him we rejoice. Why? Because Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Yes, it is undeniable that we, as Christians, are in the minority and that we feel increased opposition to our faith. But God is greater, the Gospel is true, and victory is certain. Therefore, we stand firm.
