THEOLOGY - SANCTIFICATION - TEMPTATION - Why Do We Still Sin?
Aug 6, 2023
In our series on theology, this message is about the conflict between temptation and sanctification. The Bible says, “This is the will of God, your sanctification” (1 Thessalonians 4:3). God’s plan for us, His desire for us, is that we be “conformed to image of His Son” (Romans 8:29). But temptation fights against everything God desires to do in our lives. It is a reality we know all too well. But why is there this struggle? Paul boldly declared what is true of every believer. “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24). If that’s true, then why do we still sin? Romans 6-8 explains why and declares three realities that are true of every Christian.
