THEOLOGY - GOSPEL - GRACE & FAITH - Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound
“For by grace you have been saved through faith” (Ephesians 2:8). That is one of the most important verses in the Bible because it sums up the Gospel. Two words that define the Gospel are grace and faith. Grace is God’s gift of mercy and forgiveness, and faith is how we receive it. Grace on His part combined with faith on our part is how we are saved. This message in our theology series is about the Gospel, and the best place to start is Ephesians 2:8-9. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” The Gospel is good news because of grace. And grace is good news because God can rewrite the script of a person’s life and alter a person’s eternal destiny. That’s good news. That’s grace.
